I was recently digging into ways to lower costs on Dating Commercials, and honestly, it felt more confusing than expected. Everyone talks about scaling, but not many explain how to actually keep CPC under control while still getting decent returns.
One thing I kept running into was this weird pattern. I would launch a campaign, get cheap clicks at first, then suddenly costs would go up without much improvement in conversions. It made me wonder if I was targeting wrong or just picking the wrong creatives.
So I started experimenting a bit. Nothing fancy. I changed my ad copies, tested different images, and even tried targeting smaller regions instead of going broad. What surprised me was how much difference small tweaks made. Some ads that looked average at first ended up bringing better results after I adjusted the messaging slightly.
Another thing I noticed was timing. Running ads all day was just wasting budget. When I narrowed it down to specific hours, CPC dropped and engagement improved. It was not a huge difference at once, but over time it added up.
Also, I stopped chasing cheap traffic blindly. Earlier I thought lower CPC always meant better performance, but that is not really true. Some slightly expensive clicks converted way better, which actually improved ROAS overall.
I am still figuring things out, but it feels like reducing CPC is less about hacks and more about paying attention to patterns. Testing regularly and not sticking to one setup for too long seems to help.
Curious if others here have noticed similar trends or if I am missing something obvious.
